We took an early afternoon train to Madrid. It was a really nice/new train. They showed a movie (in Spanish) which we watched for a little while, but gave up on eventually. When we arrived we were famished, so we asked the hostel proprietor for a dinner recommendation. The place he suggested didn’t open for dinner until 8 pm so we waited impatiently and did some googling to figure out what we needed to see while in Madrid.
We arrived for dinner promptly at 8 with our minds already made up about what we would have for dinner (we studied the menu back at the hostel). Our meal was absolutely fantastic! We also communicated solely in Spanish with the staff which was fun and good practice.
