We slept in late and would have slept even later (since there were not windows and thus no light, it was hard to tell whether or not it was morning) but there was a practice emergency drill and the ship blasted its horn over and over again until we woke up. We spent the rest of the day lazing about because there wasn’t really anything to do.
We arrived in Barcelona around 6 pm and spent a long time trying to find our hostel (we had the wrong place marked on our map). After finally finding our hostel and settling in we began talking about what we would make for dinner. We had an instant soup mix packet left over that we were going to prepare for dinner until we realized (because of an e-mail from Kim) that it was Thanksgiving. We had to change plans. We asked the hostel staff to recommend a restaurant and we followed their advice. We went next door to an Indian restaurant where we had a good (but expensive) meal. It didn’t feel much like Thanksgiving without grandma’s pies and mom’s green bean bake. We returned to the hostel to use the internet and do some blogging since this was the best internet that we had in a long time.
