Day 64 – Bern

We awoke early and had the hostel breakfast which was really good in comparison to the others we have had. We went to the bear pits where we observed the sleepy bears. The bears were cute; the two siblings were actually cuddling with each other. We walked from there to the old town where we saw the outside of Einstein’s house, (the inside was closed for repairs) the very decorative fountains, the clock tower and Cathedral. After snacking for lunch, we walked to the rose garden on the east side of town. Due to the time of year all of the roses were dead or dying but the view of the city from the park was excellent. Since it started raining we walked back home where we made dinner and used the internet to plan out the next few days. We also made some phone calls home; it was nice to hear from our family 🙂
